Red Skelton: Well, Rod, you look good tonight – I like your suit.

Rod O’Connor: Herringbone.

Red Skelton: That herring was a big one, wasn’t he? [pause] Say it again, say it again €”I like your suit.

Rod O’Connor: Herringbone.

Red Skelton: What’d you do, buy it when you were pickled?

Red Skelton: Well, back to the funny stuff.   You know, I read an article this month in the Modern Television magazine that I was classed as a “finished comedian”.  Material like this may prove ’em right!
