Deadeye at the Golden Nugget

Deadeye at the Golden Nugget – after a segment with Ed Sullivan, it’s Deadeye in the old west, clowning arround & captured by Indians!

Deadeye at the Golden NuggetThe Red Skelton Show season 3, broadcast Feb 9, 1954

Red Skelton’s friend Ed Sullivan comes on stage, imitating his Toast of the Town show, and calling out various celebrities in the audience. Including Cauliflower McPugg! After some clowning around between them, it switches to the Old West, where Deadeye is at the Golden Nugget saloon.

But then, Deadeye’s captured by the Indians! (“Native Americans” for the politically correct). But they don’t care — eventually, they’re going to burn Deadeye at the stake! “A hot stake’s better than a cold chop!” And the only thing that saves him is … the episode runs out of time!
