Act I

San Fernaando Red is supplying workers to wealthy people — so they can have workplace accidents, and sue! And San Fernando will take half of the lawsuit’s proceeds! So he’s interview a potential new butler and maid … And demonstrating some potential accidents!

Act II

In Act II, the maid and butler are now working at the mansion of Count Mustache! And, they’ve planted multiple booby traps to injure themselves so that they can sue. But, Count Mustache accidentally triggers one of them — and loses half of his mustache! His career will be ruined!

Act III

Trying to make amends, San Fernando Red tries to make a bogus replacement for the missing half mustache. But the best-laid plans of mice and con men oft go astray …

Red Skelton: Want to hear something really funny? I’m not even sick!
Doctor: That’s what you think, buddy! [walks offstage with a mannequin arm]

The Silent Spot

In a classic edition of the Silent Spot: Red pantomimes an old man and a little boy on a fishing trip. And the young boy’s much better at catching fish! Which the grumpy older man doesn’t appreciate …

I Wonder Why

The show concludes with Skelton’s reading of Shirley Burden’s children’s book, ‘I Wonder Why‘ for National Brotherhood Week.
