It’s a bittersweet love affair for Freddie the Freeloader, as he falls in love with debutante Bobo Barclay (Shirley Temple) who’s desperate to marry the man she loves. But her father disapproves of him. And poor Freddie thinks it’s him!

And Shirley does take the hobo’s clothes, and run away! But Freddie’s pal, Mugsy, finds her and takes her to Freddie! And the police are looking for the missing socialite as well …


Shirley’s father relents, and she can now marry the man she loves! And poor Freddie the Freeloader thinks it’s him … It’s both sweet and bittersweet, as both Shirley and Freddie try to soothe each others’ feelings.

Silent Spot

In the Silent Spot, it’s Red Skelton’s first day on the job at a high-rise construction site. And he finds out the hard way that he’s afraid of heights! It’s very funny, as he unintentionally keeps hurting his coworkers! And finally destroyed the building!
