Monologue
Red does a short sketch at a magazine rack, where he buys a newspaper. But then he finds out it’s yesterday’s newspaper! So he’s shaking the machine upside down — and a police officer comes by!
Texas Deadeye
The first Skelton Scrapbook skit is “Texas Deadeye”. Cowgirl Lucy Knoch tries to teach Deadeye how a “real” Texan would roll his own cigarette. She even borrows him a tobacco pouch and some cigarette papers — what a nice lady. But then, Deadeye demonstrates that it’s not as easy as it looks! A very funny routine.
Dr. Homer Hemoglobin
Making fun of TV shows about hospitals and surgery, “Dr. Homer Hemoglobin” has Red portraying the very successful surgeon performing a televised operation. And, of course Tide saves day.
Quiz Show Winner
Willie Lump Lump has a problem — and not the one you may think! He’s addicted to winning on quiz shows! No matter how bizarre thee question — Willie knows the answer! The exact number of grains of sand in a desert? No problem! Repeating the Gettysburg Address in Chinese? No problem! And his house is literally overflowing with the refrigerators, toasters, washing machines, etc. that he’s won. Mrs. Lump Lump enters wearing three fur coats! One of them is made from disinherited skunk — he doesn’t have a scent!
And the quiz shows are calling him at home to participate! He’s afraid to answer the phone …. But despite his wife’s warning, he does so, and wins another trip to Honolulu! Their fifth this month! And when they don’t want to go … Enforces from the game show arrive, to make certain they do!
