The Marriage Broker – The Red Skelton Show season 3, originally broadcast November 10, 1953
Monologue
Red tells the story of his son, Little Richard, talking to the housekeeper: is it true that we came from dust? Yes. And we return to dust when we die? Yes. You better look under the sofa, somebody’s either coming or going!
The seagulls Heathcliffe and his friend Sam are flying over a duck blind. They decide to go down and introduce themselves, only to be shot at by the hunters. “Jealous husbands!”
Red reprises his famous vaudeville sketch “Dunkin’ Donuts.”

The Marriage Broker
Set in the old West, George Appleby (this time single and minus his horn rimmed eyeglasses and bowler) seeking a wife from a marriage broker. Although his prospective bride’s beautiful, George gives “painfully shy” a brand new meeting. And then, her previous suitor decides that he wants to marry her after all! During the sketch, George sings, “The Girl That I Marry.”

Clem the conductor
The final skit presents Clem Kadiddlehopper conducting the entire David Rose Orchestra on stage. A very funny sketch, with lots of prop humor and physical comedy!
